ACI Service: Initial Consultation

A First Look At Creating Your Dream Home

Your initial (usually in-the-space) consultation with A.Clore Interiors is a crucial step in the design process. It is your chance to meet with our beyond-creative interior design team and discuss your vision for your space. We will gather information about your needs, style, and budget, and we will work together to create a plan that meets your lifestyle and goals.

To ensure a successful and informative consultation experience, there are a few things you can do to prepare.

  1. Gather your inspiration. Bring photos of rooms you love, as well as any other images that capture your style. This will help us to understand your taste and what you are looking for in your space.

  2. Think about your needs. What do you need your space to do? Do you need a place to entertain guests? Do you need a home office? Do you have any special requirements, such as a pet-friendly space or a space for a child?

  3. Set a budget. How much are you willing to spend on your project? It is important to be realistic about your budget, as this will help us to narrow down our options.

  4. Clear your space. The more organized your space is, the easier it will be for us to assess your needs and create a plan.

When you arrive for your consultation, be prepared to answer questions about your lifestyle, your needs, and your budget. We will also take measurements of your space and discuss your vision for the design.

At the end of your consultation, we will provide you with a proposal that outlines our services, the scope of services, and the estimated cost. We will also discuss the design process and how we will work together to create your dream space.

We understand that embarking on a design project can be overwhelming. That's why we are committed to providing you with the best possible service. We want to make sure that you are happy with your new space, and we will work with you every step of the way.

What to Expect During the Consultation

During your initial in-home consultation, we will discuss the following:

  • Your needs and goals for the space

  • Your style preferences

  • Your budget

  • The scope of work, including what will be included in the project and what will not

  • The design process, including how we will work together and how long the project will take

  • The estimated cost of the project

We will also take measurements of your space and discuss any challenges or limitations that we need to be aware of.

At the end of the consultation, we will provide you with highlights our award-winning interior design firm, information on our stress-free interior design services, full details of your project scope of work, and a room budgeting exercise. We will also discuss the next steps in the design process.

Homework Beforehand

To ensure that your consultation is as productive as possible, there are a few things you can do beforehand:

  • Complete the ACI Questionnaire and Quiz. This is a very important step and a requirement to start your project.

  • Gather your inspiration. This could include photos of rooms you love, magazine clippings, or even sketches of your own ideas.

  • Think about your needs. What do you need your space to do? How will you be using it?

  • Set a realistic budget. How much are you willing to spend on your project?

  • Clear your space. The more organized your space is, the easier it will be for us to assess your needs and create a plan.

By doing this homework, you will be prepared to have a productive and informative consultation with our team. We look forward to working with you to create your dream space!

After the Meeting

After your concept meeting, you will be sent a detailed project proposal that includes the discussed scope of work and associated design fees for the project. You will have 72 hours to review the proposed scope and make any comments or edits.

Once you have finalized and approved the project proposal and the design fee is rendered, your designer may schedule a Programming Meeting to obtain the detailed measurements to begin the design plans and drawings. This will help set the parameters and directives for the next meeting, the Concept Presentation.

Here are some additional tips for a successful initial in-home consultation:

  • Be on time. Punctuality shows that you are serious about the project and that you value our time.

  • Be prepared. Come to the consultation with all of the information we have asked for, such as your inspiration, your needs, and your budget.

  • Be open to feedback. We are here to help you create the space of your dreams, so be open to our suggestions and feedback.

  • Be clear about your expectations. Let us know what you are hoping to achieve with the project, and we will do our best to meet your expectations.

By following these tips, you can ensure that your initial in-home consultation with A.Clore Interiors is a success. We look forward to working with you to envision your space!
